Military Health Awards

Nominations sought for healthcare staff

Nominations are being sought for NHS Lanarkshire staff who provide first class care to British military personnel.

The Military and Civilian Health Partnership Awards 2009 will be held at Hopetoun House, Edinburgh on October 29.

These awards are a partnership between the Ministry of Defence and the health departments of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

There are eight categories in all, covering the wide range of skills that our healthcare teams exhibit, sometimes in extreme circumstances and environments.

You can choose to recognise a team working in an operational theatre of war, or those special individual contributions that save time, resources and on many occasions, lives.

Everyone involved in the delivery of care can enter.

These awards are about strong, effective and modern partnerships and relationships.

You may enter if you are a military, NHS or independent sector healthcare professional, either on an individual or a team basis.

Entrants can be self-nominated or entered by patients, colleagues or members of the public. The closing date for nominations is June 26.
