Healthier working conditions have many benefits for both employers and employees, including improved morale and motivation.
Scotland's Health at Work (Shaw) was set up in 1996 to offer organisations free health advice and support.
In April 2007 Scotland's Health at Work Award Programme was replaced by the Healthy Working Lives (HWL) Award Programme in April 2007.
HWL works with organisations of all sizes, from large public sector bodies to small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The awards scheme sets goals for organisations to achieve bronze, silver and then gold level.
These awards, and the commendation for mental health, are all presented at an annual ceremony.
