What is NHSL Staff Bank - The aim of NHSL staff bank is to supply on demand, cost effective, appropriately skilled staff to cover temporary shortages within the Nursing & Midwifery & Admin & Clerical Services across NHSL. Bank Staff are supplied on demand and there are no guarantee of fixed amount of hours each week.

Approximately 3500 staff are employed within the staff bank across a wide range of specialities including Registered Nurses & Midwives, Public Health Nurses and Distict Nurses, Theatre and Paediatric Nurses as well as Health Care Assistants and a wide range of Admin & Clerical staff. The diversity of services and wealth of experienced staff provides an ideal environment for staff to gain new knowledge and skills. The nurse bank is an excellent route for those who wish to gain an insight into other areas and specialities as well as help those who have chosen nursing as their future career.

The Associate Director is responsible for the overall management of the staff bank. The Clinical Facilitators and Business Support Manager will have day to day management and professional responsibility for the staff bank. A team of dedicated bank Staff Co-ordinators and Administrators assist with the co-ordination, recruitment and payroll function of the staff bank.
