Health Care Assistants
Staff Bank Health Care Support Worker Recruitment
Health care support workers recruitment is restricted to the following groups.
- Nursing, Midwifery and Allied health professional students who have completed at least one year of the undergraduate programme
- Those who hold an HNC in Health Care and who have completed a four week placement in NHSL and have during that placement completed the Health Care support worker induction standards.
- From the partnership programme delivered jointly with Cumbernauld College and NHSL.
Applications will be held on file for 12 months pending suitable vacancies. Short listing and interviewing will take place periodically according to the needs of the service.
NB those who join the bank as health care support workers will not be guaranteed work on the bank as a registered practitioner on completion of their studies. This will depend on the level of demand for registered staff at the time of registration.
