Your Labour

When labour begins or you require advice on labour, please telephone your allocated ward. Please have your maternity care plan available for details.

When you arrive at the hospital, you and your partner, friend or relative will be welcomed by a member of staff. Your general condition will be assessed and you can tell us what has been happening to you. Please bring your maternity care plan with you. As you progress in labour, we will provide you and your partner with support, help and advice. Please let us know of any preferences you might have.

Your Birth plan

You are encouraged to complete your birth plan at about 36 weeks. Please discuss this with your midwife.
