Blood Tests

It is important to emphasise that you do not have to provide blood samples or agree to all the tests we may offer you. Pregnant women must sign a consent form for all blood tests carried out.

You will be given a booklet ‘A Guide to Routine Blood Tests Offered during Pregnancy’ to enable you to make a fully informed choice. If you are unhappy about any of these tests, please discuss your concerns with us when you attend for your first antenatal visit.
