The Role of the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner 

 

The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner within the Adult Learning Disability Service is based at Kirklands and covers the whole of Lanarkshire North and South. The primary care nurse practitioner works alongside other services looking at how to help improve the health of people with a Learning Disability

The role involves giving advice, support, and training to GP practices, community services other NHS Lanarkshire staff and other external agencies to help people with learning disabilities access Primary Care Services within Lanarkshire.

The primary care nurse practitioner also works alongside other services looking at how to help improve the health of people with a Learning Disability.
