Sexual Health & HIV Awareness

Aim:

This one-day training course aims to provide participants with a general overview of HIV and sexual health issues from a local and national perspective.

Learning Outcomes:

Understand what is meant by “HIV”, “AIDS” and “sexual health”.
Understand the importance of personal values and language when dealing with HIV and sexual health issues.
Be aware of relevant health statistics and current policy around these topics.

Target Group:

Open to anyone with an interest in this area, particularly nursing and social care staff who are thinking about these
topics for the first time.
