NHS Lanarkshire’s continence service will be re-established on 10 August 2020.

Like other similar services, the continence service will look different than before. Appointments will take place virtually, by telephone consultation or using NearMe.

In advance of their appointment, patients will receive an ‘opt-in’ letter enabling them to pick which type of virtual appointment they would prefer.

Housebound patients will also be able to receive urgent bladder ultrasound scans.

Face-to-face consultations will be available at a later date. This will only be for patients who require a physical examination.

Continence Nurses will also be available to provide advice and receive self referrals. The nurses can be contacted on 01698 687720 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
