Condition Management Programme

Helping you get back to work

In partnership with Jobcentre Plus, NHS Lanarkshire is delivering the Condition Management Programme (CMP) element of Pathways to Work.

The aim of the Pathways to Work programme is to help as many of Lanarkshire’s 47,000 Incapacity Benefit (IB) clients as possible back to work in the first year of their claim.

The CMP focuses on the three main categories of health conditions suffered by IB claimants:

• Mental ill health
• Cardio-respiratory problems
• Musculo-skeletal problems

Using a cognitive behavioural therapy approach, CMP practitioners support clients through a 4-14 week programme enabling them to better understand and manage their condition, with a particular focus on their capacity to work.
