Breastfeeding Support Groups

Breastfeeding rates in Lanarkshire are low with only 30% of Lanarkshire babies being breastfed.

Because of this, many local women, including grannies and aunts, may never have had an opportunity to watch a baby being breastfed and to an extent the skills for breastfeeding have been lost through the generations. 

 

To "fill the gap" Lanarkshire Health Board set up mother-to-mother Breastfeeding Support Groups across Lanarkshire. To find the nearest, click on your town below.
