East Kilbride & District Public Partnership Forum (EK&D PPF) is a group of people from the community with an interest in health issues who seek to have a positive influence on local health services and provide a voice for the people of East Kilbride District.
Being part of the forum will allow you to:
- Be consulted on proposed health service changes at an early stage
- Join a group of individuals committed to the development of local health services
- Seek the views of the community to ensure equality of treatment and services
The EK&D PPF is committed to improving the health and well-being of every member of our community.
Let it be your voice!
Why you should get involved?
The EK&D PPF meets every two months 2.00pm - 4.00pm in the Murray Owen Centre, East Kilbride. Meetings last about two hours.

The forum is consulted by the NHS on a wide range of health developments and proposals. We already have representation from a variety of individuals and community organisations. Even wider involvement from the local community would help us:
- Effectively represent all local individuals and organisations
- Discuss and influence health plans
- Gather and convey people’s views on health matters
How public involvement can make a difference
A greater degree of public involvement in health services brings a wide range of benefits such as:
- Communities taking a more active role in promoting health and well-being
- Development and improvement of services for patients, relatives and carers
- A better public understanding of the NHS and the challenges it faces
- A local voice that can directly influence local health service changes
- A more knowledgeable and healthier community
