This is a 19-bed ward which caters for Long Term Care of elderly patients.  Patients will usually have been referred here from Monklands District General Hospital following medical assessment which has confirmed that their on-going needs can best be met from continuing NHS inpatient care.

The ward is divided into distinct areas and caters for male and female patients in such a manner as to preserve dignity and respect at all times.

Normal visiting times are 10.00am – 12noon, 1.00pm – 5.00pm and 6.00pm – 7.30pm, 7 days a week but arrangements outwith these can easily be accommodated by speaking to staff.

The ward operates a protected meal time policy from 12noon - 1.00pm and 5.00pm - 6.00pm.

The ward comprises 21 beds and accommodates male and female patients in separate areas.  The main services provided are rehabilitation and assessment.  Patients will usually have been referred here from Monklands District General Hospital and will undergo further treatments designed to maximise their potential and enable a return to home or, in some circumstances , alternative accommodation such as nursing or residential care homes.

The ward is divided into distinct areas and caters for male and female patients in such a manner as to preserve dignity and respect at all times.

Normal visiting times are 3.00pm – 4.00pm and 6.30pm – 8.00pm, 7 days a week but arrangements outwith these can easily be accommodated by speaking to staff.

The ward operates a protected meal time policy from 12noon - 1.00pm and 5.00pm - 6.00pm.
