The telephone number for the Stathclyde Suite is 01698 357226. Only limited information is given to close relatives over the telephone. If further information is required you will have to come to the Strathclyde Suite to see either the nursing staff or a doctor.
Postal arrangements
Letters and cards are taken to each ward as soon as possible after delivery. Please address all letters as follows:

How to get there
On leaving Motherwell town centre follow the road to Bellshill passing the BQ store on the right, and the level crossing gates on left. Parksprings Care Centre is situated on the first left turn, then the second right turn. The Strathclyde Suite is situated within the Care Centre building.
Visiting
Wards 1 and 2 visiting times: 3.00pm - 4.00pm and 7.00pm - 8.00pm daily. Please try to avoid mealtimes if possible. If you need to visit out with the wards normal visiting times, this can be discussed with the nurse in charge. Please ask the nurse in charge of the ward, whether children may visit and please keep children as quiet as possible while they are in the wards.
Security
There is a controlled door entry system in operation. Visitors are required to sign a visitors book on entering and leaving the building.
Fire Safety
On activation of the fire alarm, staff will instruct all visitors to leave the ward by the nearest Fire Exit.
Illness
If you are unwell or have been ill recently with an infection, especially sickness and/or diarrhoea, please phone the nurse in charge for advice before visiting.
No Smoking
Please refrain from smoking. Smoking Kills If you wish to stop smoking please consult with your GP who can help or direct you to a stop smoking service.
Gifts to Patients
Please check with nursing staff before leaving food, sweets, or soft drinks with patients, as they may be on a restricted or special diet.
Money Valuables
Please do not leave large amounts of money with patients, as staff cannot be responsible for money kept by patients. Do not leave valuables with patients without notifying the nursing staff, for example watches, rings and so on. Similarly, such items should not be removed from patients without informing the nursing staff.
Legal Documents
It is necessary to check with staff before a patient signs any document. It is also helpful to advise the nurse in charge of any legal business.
Toilets
Toilet facilities are available for relatives and visitors.
Guide Dogs
Guide/hearing dogs are permitted within the building.
